The Indus River was an adequate resource used by the Indus people although it was also very destructive. Every year there would be the time of the seasonal floods in which the people would both greatly benefit and suffer from. The Indus Valley people used a well known method for leading water inland called irrigation. The river carried a very fertile soil called silt, which was extrodinary for agriculture if the right amount flooded the valley. If the valley was hit harshly by over flooding, the crops would be destroyed along with much of the cities. The very powerful Indus River was very destructive, but greatly utilized by the intelligence of the Indus people.

High School Football Playoffs
This year our varsity football team had an outstanding regular season, winning the district and advancing to the regional play. Our school won a tough battle against a very good team to take the regional championship. The very next weekend we played for a chance to enter the state final.
The game started off pretty mellow until we took a sudden lead. The other team came back within 3 points and at the half the score was 15- 12 us. In the second half the other team returned a kickoff for a touchdown and made the score 20 15. Then we had a magnificent passing play for about 60 yards and the immaculate touchdown. We went for two, got it and were now up by a field goal. Our defense shut them out and we won the game.
That was last week, for the state semifinal, and now tomorrow we will play an undefeated team for the state championship!!

2012 Review
Last week I went to see the new movie 2012 in theaters, and it is a “Have to see movie.”
This movie is about a divorced man trying to save his family from the insane natural disasters occuring. It all starts in Los Angeles when the earth’s crusts starts to fall, and the whole city goes down under. The family miraculously escapes this and then heads into the treacherous volcanoes of YellowStone national park. They overcome many more disasters and end up on the boats that with stand all of the enourmous sunami waves. It is some of the best graphics I have seen in a long time!
If you get a chance this weekend, go see it!!!!
